ANALISIS PENANAMAN NILAI-NILAI MULTIKULTURAL MELALUI PROSES PEMBELAJARAN DI SDN LEMBENGAN 01 KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of instilling multicultural values through the learning process at SDN Lembengan 01, Jember Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, classroom teachers, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that multicultural values have been integrated into the learning process, particularly in Civic Education (Pancasila and Citizenship Education). Teachers implemented various instructional methods, including discussions, question-and-answer sessions, group work, and habituation activities that encouraged students to respect differences, cooperate, and develop a sense of responsibility. In addition, the school supported the reinforcement of multicultural values through activities introducing the cultural diversity of Indonesia. The multicultural values developed among students included tolerance, cooperation, mutual assistance, respect for others, empathy, and appreciation of diversity. Although several challenges remained, particularly differences in students' characteristics, teachers consistently addressed them through guidance and role modeling. This study concludes that the learning process plays a significant role in instilling multicultural values and fostering students' character in appreciating diversity.
