INTERNALISASI NILAI MULTIKULTURAL MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KITAB TARBIYATUS SIBYAN BAGI SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN BUSTANUL ULUM BULUGADING

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of internalizing multicultural values through the Tarbiyatus Sibyan Book among students at Bustanul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bulugading, Langkap, Bangsalsari, Jember. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of the boarding school caretaker, teachers, and students. Data were collected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings revealed that the internalization of multicultural values was conducted through three main stages: value transformation through theoretical learning in the classroom, value transaction through two-way discussions, and value transinternalization, which was reflected in students' attitudes of respecting differences in ethnicity, language, and cultural backgrounds in their daily lives at the boarding school. Through this conceptual implementation, the learning of the Tarbiyatus Sibyan Book proved to be effective in shaping students' characters to become inclusive, tolerant, and adaptive toward cultural diversity within the Islamic boarding school environment.
