MODERASI BERAGAMA BERBASIS PENDIDIKAN QUR’ANI: TELAAH TAFSIR TARBAWI QS. AR-RUM (30):22 TENTANG KERAGAMAN BAHASA DAN BUDAYA

Abstract

This study examines religious moderation based on Qur’anic education through a tarbawi exegesis of QS. Ar-Rum (30):22 on linguistic and cultural diversity. The scope of the research focuses on how Qur’anic values position differences in language and culture as a pedagogical foundation for nurturing moderation in Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative library research method by analysing classical and contemporary tafsir, as well as relevant Islamic education literature. The findings indicate that linguistic and cultural diversity, as implied in QS. Ar-Rum (30):22, represents a cosmic sign requiring appreciation of differences, dialogue, and collaboration among social groups. From a tarbawi perspective, this verse inspires the development of inclusive and tolerant curricula and learning strategies grounded in the values of rahmatan lil-‘alamin. In conclusion, Qur’anic-based education oriented toward religious moderation necessitates integrating exegetical understanding with pedagogical practices that respect students’ linguistic and cultural plurality.
