INNOVATION AND DIGITAL LEARNING IN THE SOCIETY 5.0 ERA

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed various aspects of human life, particularly in the field of education. The Society 5.0 era introduces a human-centered concept that integrates digital technology to solve social problems and improve the quality of life. In education, digital learning innovation has become an essential strategy for enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of learning processes. This article aims to examine the role of innovation and digital learning in supporting educational transformation in the Society 5.0 era. The study employs a literature review approach by analyzing scientific journals, books, and other relevant academic sources related to digital learning and Society 5.0. The findings indicate that the implementation of digital learning through Learning Management Systems (LMS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), interactive learning media, virtual classrooms, Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR) can improve learning quality, expand educational access, increase student engagement, and provide more flexible learning experiences. However, several challenges remain, including inadequate technological infrastructure, limited digital literacy, and unequal digital competencies among educators. Therefore, collaboration among governments, educational institutions, teachers, students, and communities is essential to establish an adaptive, innovative, and sustainable education system in the Society 5.0 era. The study concludes that digital learning innovation plays a strategic role in developing competent, creative, and globally competitive human resources.
