KESIAPAN PENDIDIK DAN INOVASI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS IOT DI ERA MASYARAKAT 5.0

Abstract

 The development of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era has brought significant changes to education through the utilization of intelligent technologies, one of which is the Internet of Things (IoT) as an innovation in learning media. This study aims to analyze educators’ readiness to implement IoT-based learning media and to identify the innovations, opportunities, and challenges of its implementation in the learning process. This research employed a qualitative literature review approach. Data were collected through a search of scientific articles in Google Scholar using relevant keywords. The article selection process was adapted from the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, resulting in eight eligible articles for analysis. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that IoT has great potential to create more interactive, flexible, and effective learning through the implementation of smart education. However, its successful implementation is influenced by educators’ digital competence, the availability of technological infrastructure, implementation costs, and data security. Therefore, the integration of IoT in education requires synergy among the improvement of educators’ digital competence, the provision of adequate technological facilities, and supportive educational policies to foster innovative learning in accordance with the demands of the Society 5.0 era.
